To promote family health and family resilience through a three-fold approach in which research and training are integrated with practice.
Objectives
To become a leading center in undertaking and promoting trans-disciplinary practice and empirical research on family life and relations by:
- providing a nurturing ground for clinical practitioners and educators in family therapy;
- conducting evidence-based studies to benefit policy formulation and family-oriented practice, especially in the context of Chinese culture;
- creating a forum for multidisciplinary and cross-regional collaborations in the development of specialized projects; and
- setting up an information clearing house for clinical data to facilitate local and international exchange.
